AI Assistance Without a Live Connection
The short answer
You can use AI to draft answers and suggest vocabulary without connecting your answer system to any AI provider. The system composes a prompt, your team pastes it into a model of your choosing, and the result comes back as a pending suggestion. Nothing is applied until a person approves it.
What AI Helps With
Drafting Answers from Your Pages
The system reads a page and drafts question-and-answer pairs from it. It checks each draft against the questions you already have, so duplicates are dropped and genuine refinements are flagged for review.
Suggesting Vocabulary
The system suggests alternative words visitors use for the same thing, so a question phrased differently still finds the right answer.
How the Air Gap Works
Out of the box, no AI provider is connected. We call this an air gap. Wherever a task would otherwise go to an AI model, the system hands your team a composed prompt instead. Your team decides whether to use it, pastes it into a model and account of your choosing, and pastes the result back.
Your content and search index never make a live call to any model. Your team sees exactly what leaves the system, because a person copies it.
Rules That Apply Whichever Way You Work
- Every AI output lands as a pending suggestion or draft.
- Nothing is applied automatically. A person accepts or rejects each one.
- Your existing answers, content, and vocabulary are never silently rewritten.
- If you connect a provider for a training session, a Remove Stored Key control disconnects the credential afterward, rather than leaving it stored.

Is working without a live connection slower?
It adds a copy and paste step for training tasks such as drafting answers. It does not affect how fast visitors get answers, because answering runs locally.
What leaves the system?
Only the prompt your team chooses to paste into a model. Nothing is sent automatically.
Can we connect an AI provider later?
Yes. Connecting a provider is optional and under your control, and the credential can be removed again when you no longer need it.
