CQIP, the Standard Behind the Work
The short answer
CQIP, the Content Quality and Intelligence Policy, is a platform-agnostic methodology standard for structured content. It was authored by H D Fraser MSc and first published in 2024 through The Content Framework. It defines canonical content block types, a schema output model, and a content quality framework, and every Answer Engineering engagement is built on it.
What CQIP Defines
CQIP sets out how content should be structured so that people and machines read it the same way. Its canonical block types include Answer First, Capabilities, Solutions, Technical, Compliance, and FAQ. Each block has a defined purpose and a defined schema output, so a page built from them states clearly what it is about, who stands behind it, and how its parts relate.
Answer First
The primary answer to a page's central question comes before supporting detail. Combined with Speakable markup, it signals which passage is ready to be quoted. Definition.
Schema Iceberg
A page can carry more question-and-answer pairs in its schema than it displays. On this site every question in the schema is also visible on the page. Definition.
One Connected Graph
Every page outputs a single schema graph in which the organization, people, services, and questions reference each other, rather than isolated fragments.
A Methodology, Not a Technology Stack
CQIP does not require you to change platforms. It is implemented for static PHP sites through CQIP Static, which this site is built on, and for WordPress through the CQIP plugin family. Content structured to CQIP produces the same block types and the same schema output on either.
For a buyer, that matters at handover. Your team inherits a documented standard rather than the habits of one agency, and the structure survives a change of platform.
